Step-by-step routes from El Palmar to Santa Catalina, Boquete, Playa Venao, and El Valle.

Traveling from Panama City

If you're starting your journey from Panama City, all buses to the interior depart from Albrook Bus Terminal, right next to Albrook Mall.

For a full guide, you can internally link to your existing article:

Below is the expanded version with schedules, prices, and the “famous Albrook chaos instructions.”

How to navigate Albrook Bus Terminal (IMPORTANT)

Albrook is big, noisy, and confusing (even for locals). Many travelers get sent “from gate to gate” because:

  • Routes share platforms

  • Some gates move depending on demand

  • Certain terminals are behind metal barrier “fences”

  • Security guards often point you to the wrong place

Here’s how to navigate it like a pro:

1. The terminal is divided by region

Look for these signs along the ceiling:

  • Panamá Oeste → Buses to San Carlos, El Palmar, Coronado

  • Coclé → El Valle & Penonomé

  • Los Santos → Las Tablas, Pedasí

  • Chiriquí → David & Boquete

  • Veraguas → Santiago & Soná

2. Ask for the destination, not the bus number

Say clearly: “San Carlos”, “Las Tablas”, “Santiago”, “Soná”, “El Palmar”.

3. Pay at the counter, then go to the gate

You’ll get a small paper ticket. Keep it, because inspectors check it.

4. Expect fences (“los ranchos”) around popular gates

The metal railings guide people into the correct boarding lines. Don’t panic, your gate is inside the fences.
