We work closely with Popote’s Surf Academy, a local-run school right here at the lodge. It’s a safe space for beginners to start and a structured environment for intermediate surfers to truly improve.

One of the best things about El Palmar is the space. You won't find the crowded, stressful lineups of other surf hubs here. The waves are safe and welcoming, giving you the peace and room you need to learn without pressure.

With a strict maximum of three students per instructor, you get the constant feedback and safety you need. For those seeking total focus, our private lessons offer one on one coaching to fast track your progression.

With over twelve years of experience, Popote started the academy to share his connection with the waves of El Palmar. Today, he works alongside a small team of local instructors who share his patient and calm approach to coaching.

For adults and kids. From beginner to intermediate.

Whether it’s your first time on a board or you're refining your flow, we offer a structured and friendly environment.

Private lessons: One-on-one guidance for maximum progress.
Small groups: Share the experience with a maximum of two others.
Kids’ classes: Fun, playful sessions focused on water safety.

The Essentials: All 1.5-hour sessions include a surfboard and rashguard.
